Virginia Running Back Josh Tapscott Verbally Commits To Boston College

The Boston College Eagles scored their fourth recruit of the 2013 and it is a running back. According to Eagle Action, Kettle Run Virginia Running Josh Tapscott has committed to BC. Tapscott, who also received offers from Ohio, decided that he wanted to become an Eagle. He is a two star running back according to Rivals. Not much info is available about him online, but you can read his own interesting biography he posted online two years ago here:

My Name is Joshua Tapscott, I am a Sophomore at Kettle Run High School, I'm 5'11" and weight 170 Lbs. I run a 4.4 forty and can bench 290 Lbs. As a freshman in high school I started on the varsity team and was awarded honors as a First Team All District Athlete. I started in the position of running back and safety and also kick return. I am currently a Sophomore and started varsity as a running back, defensive back, and kick returner. I received honors as First Team All District Running Back.

My current GPA is 3.5.

My dream right now is to play college football and maybe one day play in the NFL. I know to achieve that dream I have to work hard and study hard. My dad taught me, no matter what be a leader in life and not a follower. I try to lead by example, I work hard in the weight room, I work hard on the field and I work hard in the classroom. My goal is to get my bench over the 300lb mark before spring arrives, and maintain my 3.5 GPA. I have two more years of high school football to play and I'm focusing on being a leader for my team and helping them by being the best I can be both physically and mentally.

Strong and fast, and a good head on his shoulders. Sounds like a great pick up for the Eagles. Can't wait to see Tapscott on the Heights. Welcome to BC Josh!
