Congrats to Boston College linebacker Luke Kuechly, who signed a four year, $12.58 million contract with the Carolina Panthers. Kuechly was the 9th overall pick in this year's NFL Draft. Getting paid, like a boss.

Via Cat Scratch Reader:

Continuing their faith in 9th overall pick Luke Kuechly the Carolina Panthers have agreed to terms on a 4 year, $12.58 million deal. This contract (as in all first round picks) is fully guaranteed, and contains the 5th year option which works much like a current franchise tag.

Clearly these deals aren't difficult to get done after last years CBA and consequential rookie salary cap, but it's important to note there was no delay, no shuffling by the Panthers to get the ink on paper. Thus far Kuechly is the highest draft pick signed, and the second Carolina finalized today after getting 7th round selection D.J. Campbell signed earlier today.

Congrats to Kuechly! Looking forward to watching him play on Sundays.
