We are only a few hours removed from the Boston College football program dismissing the school's all-time leading rusher, and already rumors are popping up as to what Montel Harris's next move may be. According to CBS Sports's Bruce Feldman, Harris could be a target for the Temple Owls.
Hearing Montel Harris, who BC booted after the star RB had a rift w coach Frank Spaziani, may end up at Temple w exEagle assts.

Feldman's account is counter to the school's release stating that Harris was dismissed due to a "repeated violation of team rules." Sounds like two sides to the same story, with the truth ultimately lying somewhere in the middle. Though not surprising given the rumors of a rift between Harris and Spaziani, I'm disappointed in the way this situation was handled.
As for Harris' next move, it certainly makes a lot of sense that Harris could end up in Philadelphia, reunited with former Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Rogers (now Temple QB coach) and former Eagles WR coach Ryan Day (now Temple co-offensive coordinator). Temple also has use for a new feature back as Bernard Pierce recently departed for the NFL. This will also be Temple football's first season (back) in the Big East, which is a slight step up competition-wise than the Owls' former football digs (the MAC).
My guess is Harris will be allowed to pull a Russell Wilson, graduating from Boston College and playing for another program without having to sit out a year. I'm sure we haven't heard the last on this situation.
