With less than 150 days until the college football season is finally upon us, the Orlando Sentinel's Matt Murschel has his way-too-early college bowl projections for 2012-13. Apparently Murschel shares out concern, dude.
-- Orange Bowl (Miami Gardens, FL) -- Florida State vs. Louisville
-- Peach Bowl (Atlanta, GA) -- Virginia Tech vs. Florida
-- Champs Sports (Orlando, FL) -- Clemson vs. Cincinnati
-- Sun (El Paso, TX) -- N.C. State vs. Stanford
-- Belk (Charlotte, NC) -- Georgia Tech vs. Notre Dame
-- Music City (Nashville, TN) -- Wake Forest vs. Texas A&M
-- Independence (Shreveport, LA) -- Virginia vs. Air Force
-- Military (Washington, DC) -- Miami vs. Marshall
I'm not sure how one exactly goes about projecting bowl games in April. Must be the same way we rank college basketball programs the day after the season ends. And is Miami even going to eligible to play in a bowl this season?
Anyhow, these projections are bound to be all wrong, but noteworthy that BC, Duke, Maryland and North Carolina didn't make the cut. The new bottom rung of the ACC? Or is the Orlando Sentinel simply not privy to GDF's bowl guarantee?
Starting this season ...
