Boston College Women's Lacrosse Honors 9/11 Hero Welles Crowther Today Vs. Cal

The Boston College women's lacrosse team will host Cal today at 1 PM in the program's final game before the ACC Tournament. In an effort to honor 9/11 hero and former BC men's lacrosse player Welles Crowther, the Eagles have dubbed Saturday's contest the "Red Bandanna #19 Game."

On September 11, 2001, one of our own sacrificed his life to save the lives of at least 12 other individuals. Welles Crowther, a former BC men's lacrosse player and a 1999 graduate, heroically helped save the lives of several individuals after the tower he worked in was struck.

In an effort to honor Welles, his family, his courage, and everyone who was touched by the tragic events of September 11th, we invite you to our #19 game, Welles' jersey number, on April 14th when we host Cal-Berkeley at 1:00 PM. Welles' family will be honored at halftime as well as the men's lacrosse team. Additionally, we will be distributing red bandannas to the first 200 fans to arrive... Come get yours and show your support! We hope you will be in attendance to honor a true Boston College hero!

Admission is free. Head on over to Newton Campus and catch the women's final home game before the ACC Tournament.

Go Eagles!
