ACC Midweek Preview Part 1, Feb. 29 (ACC Sports Journal)
Boston College 54, Georgia Tech 50 - The Eagles are usually much better at home, where they have earned all three of their ACC wins.

Quoting ACC Men's Basketball: February 28, 2012 (TheACC.com)
"That's the hard part of trying to figure out what guys are going to help you and when you go evaluate them and who can maintain their toughness and their execution on both sides of the ball in a long season, and that's what we're trying to figure out. Is it youth or is it inexperience, or is it just like, hey, they're giving all they've got, that's all they've got in the tank." - Steve Donahue

More from Boston College freshman Ryan Anderson on a season filled with learning experiences (BostonHerald.com)
"It’s been what I signed up for," Anderson said. "I wanted to come and play right away. I think coach D always made a big emphasis that there’s going to be ups and downs, and there has been all season. It’s been a real roller coaster ride for us, but I think for the most part everybody has really worked hard and we’re doing a lot of the things that coach D is asking us for. I think he sees the bigger picture in all of us and sees the potential we could all achieve."

ACC Hoops Power Rankings, Feb. 27 (ACC Sports Journal)
12. Boston College (8-20, 3-11). How did this team manage to beat Florida State? That’s what a 29-point loss to a Wake Forest will make you wonder. The Eagles managed to make the Demon Deacons look like a good team.

Conference Power Rankings: ACC (ESPN College Basketball Nation Blog)
12. Boston College: The Eagles have now lost 10 of 11 games. The positive: All of those freshmen will be sophomores next season.

ACC Freshman Watch, Feb. 28 (ACC Sports Journal)
I’ve been on the Ryan Anderson bandwagon since the start of this Freshman Watch. He’s another player who has been making things happen recently. In his last five games, Anderson is averaging 18.4 points and eight rebounds a game. Anderson’s toughness has clearly benefitted him during ACC-play. Previous ranking: 2

ACC spring preview: Major questions facing conference heavyweights this spring (Sporting News)
There’s a reason coach Frank Spaziani is feeling heat: BC hasn’t played like its overachieving, physical self for two years. Part of that can be traced to injuries, and the loss of the Eagles’ true identity, the power run game. RB Montel Harris (knee) missed almost all of 2011, and could be lost again this fall. When BC can run with power and purpose—Rolandan Finch and Andre Williams will get first shot at replacing Harris—it can dictate tempo on both sides of the ball and get games to the fourth quarter.

When it comes to skills, Kuechly shows he’s got plenty (The Boston Globe)
"That was one of the big things coming in: I had to prove I was a sufficient size,’’ he said. "The biggest thing was being able to move with the weight I have. That was something I’ve been working on. I think right now I’m comfortable where I am.’’

Luke Kuechly Is Pretty Athletic After All (Bleeding Green Nation)
There's not much to dislike about this kid. Off the charts production, recognized as the nation's top LB and now has put on a fantastic combine performance. We still don't know whether the Eagles will address their MIKE position in free agency or not, but if they don't (and maybe even if they do) Kuechly certainly looks a slam dunk pick if in fact he's still there at #15.

"I think it would be great. Growing up, it’s one of those things, I’ve been watching the draft, I don’t know how long," Kuechly said. "You want to get your name called on that first day, you want to be on that first-day list, when (the NFL commissioner) says, ‘so-and-so selects, Luke Kuechly, linebacker, Boston College.’ That’s your goal playing in college football. Getting to that level, and hearing your name on the first day."

Yocum plans to come back to BC (EagleAction.com)
"Boston College is going to be a one-on-one visit with the coaching staff. I'm going to visit with coach Martin and he's going to show me around a little bit, talk football with him and that should be exciting. I am also going to watch the spring game."
