George Craan To Boston College: Concord-Carlisle RB Commits To BC

One of the gaping holes in Boston College football's 2012 recruiting class was at running back. Though the Eagles backfield is loaded with Montel Harris, Andre Williams, Rolandan Finch and Tahj Kimble, having missed with Akeel Lynch, it became even more important for Spaziani to plug the gap at RB in the recruiting class.

The Eagles have now filled this gap, receiving a verbal commitment from Concord-Caslisle running back George Craan. Craan will attend BC in the fall.

The 5-foot-10, 205-pounder is a two-time Herald All-Scholastic tailback for Concord-Caslisle (Mass.). Craan rushed for 1,800 yards and 24 TDs, leading his HS team to an undefeated season and Division 3 Super Bowl title, including rushing for 351 yards and 7 TDs in the playoffs.

"I just tried to stay humble through the whole thing and had faith in God that everything would work out and it did," said the personable Craan. "I grew up in Boston following Boston College football with Matt Ryan and recently, Montel Harris.

"It's great that my family will be able to come and watch me play."

Welcome to the Heights, George.
