National Signing Day, Boston College Recruiting: WR Harrison Jackson

Part of BC Interruption's National Signing Day Coverage.

Harrison Jackson
Hometown: Purcellville, VA
High School: Louden Valley
Position: Wide Receiver
Height: 6'2
Weight: 180 lbs
Shuttle: 4.2
Vertical: 35 inches

Rankings: Rivals 2* (Not rated by position/state/or region), ESPN 2* (Grade 73, Position 199, Regional 233, State 47), Scout 3* (112th WR), 247sports 2* (240 Position, 52 State). Did not receive offers from any other programs. Played in Boston College camp and recruited by Mike Siravo.

Highlights:

Jackson caught 30 passes for 329 yards and six touchdowns in his junior season. He hauled in three receptions for 69 yards and a score in a 27-9 playoff victory over Stafford, helping the Vikings record their first postseason win since 1990.

Receiver Harrison Jackson of Round Hill, Va., who caught 36 passes for 700 yards as a senior and helped Loudoun Valley to its first postseason win in 21 years.

Realistic Outlook:

Fits well into Doug Martin's new offensive scheme of short quick passes. Harrison will provide depth at wide receiver, but can't imagine he will be much of a factor in 2012 given the depth at the position. Most likely heading for a red shirt, Harrison will be hoping to line up at WR with Joel Zoungrana, Marcus Grant, and Justin Simmons. Not a lot of information out on this kid, so it's hard to get a read on what he is capable of.

Welcome to Boston College Harrison!
