Boston College Football Recruiting: QB Tim Boyle Keeping Verbal Commitment

Good news on the recruiting front.

Bob DeChiara-US PRESSWIRE

Things can obviously change, but some good news on the recruiting front. Three-star pro-style QB commit Tim Boyle, arguably one of the top recruits in the incoming class, is set on keeping his verbal commitment to Boston College and Coach Steve Addazio.

"I have close to 30 relatives in Massachusetts and I've grown up a BC fan," said Boyle, who was also being recruited by UConn and North Carolina State. "It's a place where I am most comfortable at."

The senior signal caller for Xavier HS will lead the Falcons (11-1) against Norwich Free Academy (12-0) in the CIAC Class LL state championship tonight at the Rent (7:05 PM). Xavier has defeated Greenwich (55-14) and Glastonbury (30-13) in this year's playoffs and is looking for the program's third straight state title.

This season, Boyle has thrown for 25 TDs and 2,300 yards.

Boston College currently has 17 commits in the class of 2013. In addition to Boyle, Manchester HS's Marquis Little is the only other commit from Addazio's home state of Connecticut.
