This day keeps getting stranger and stranger.
Former Boston College football head coach Jeff Jagodzinski, will "likely" be the next offensive coordinator at Georgia State, SB Nation has been told. Jags will join the staff of new Panthers coach Trent Miles. Miles and Jagodzinski worked together in Green Bay during the 2000 season.
Coach Jags has been volunteering as the wide receivers coach at NAIA Ave Maria University in Florida. Since getting fired from the Boston College job in 2008, Jags has bounced all around football -- serving as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers OC in 2009, the UFL's Omaha Nighthawks in 2010 and the WR coach at Ave Maria.
Miles, formerly at Indiana State, inherits a program that went 1-10 in the Colonial Athletic Association in 2012, the program's second year of football. The Panthers are set to make the move to Division I-A in 2013, joining the Sun Belt.
Good luck to Coach Jags in Atlanta!
