The Boston College Community Mourns The Loss Of Lisa Gallup

Boston College associate AD Barry Gallup, a former BC football player, lost his 26-year-old daughter to cancer on Wednesday.

Thoughts and prayers with the Gallup family this week as Boston College associate AD Barry Gallup, a former BC football player, lost his 26-year-old daughter to cancer on Wednesday. Lisa Ann Gallup passed away Wednesday at the age of 26 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Lisa graduated from Boston College's Connell School of Nursing in 2009 and from Wellesley HS in 2004 where she was a three sport captain and recipient of the peer-elected Senior Cup. In the midst of a grueling treatment regimen, Lisa recently completed the NYC Half Marathon and Boston Triathlon while maintaining a social life typical of a young woman in Manhattan. Lisa is the daughter of Barry and Victoria Gallup of Wellesley and the brother of Barry Gallup, Jr. of New York City and the late Darren Douglas Gallup.

A memorial service will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1 PM at the Wellesley Village Church, 2 Central Street in Wellesley. Donations can be made to "Cycle for Survival - Team FabuLisa" at www.cycleforsurvival.org or:

633 Third Avenue, Floor 28
New York, NY 10017

The Eagles associate AD also lost a son, Darren Douglas Gallup, in 2003 when the 18-year old died in a car crash in Wellesley. Gallup has one other son, Barry Gallup Jr., a former Notre Dame wide receiver.
