Frank Spaziani is no longer the coach of Boston College, and he released a written statement today talking about Brad Bates decision to relieve him of his duties (Via HeightsSports):
Obviously this is a sad day for my family and me. Boston College has been my home for more than 16 years and I have been fortunate to work with some amazing student-athletes. I will always treasure my relationships with them and the BC Staff. Boston College is a tremendous place, and I am extremely thanksful for my time there. I wish the current and future Eagles nothing but the best.
Frank Spaziani of course sounds graceful and appreciative. Usual tone for a coach leaving his position against his wishes.
Boston College has planned a statement from Brad Bates, and as soon as we get a transcript we will be sure to report on it. Big day for Boston College. Ever to Excel.
