It's the last home game of the year for the BC Eagles, and most likely Frank Spaziani's final game at Alumni Stadium. Only seven seniors make the list this week, a tribute to our coaches fantastic roster management and attrition rates. We see a few new names and a lot of the same.
Quarterback:
- Chase Rettig - JR
- Josh Bordner - SO
We are 2-8 and Spaz couldn't be bothered to Mike Marscovetra and Dave Shinskie on there as QB2? If Rettig goes down at this point let the seniors play, they deserve it, they survived four years of Spaz.
Halfback:
- David Dudeck - FR
- Rolandan Finch - JR
Dudeck averaged 2.3 yards per carry against Notre Dame, while Finch averaged 5.7. This set up makes absolute perfect sense.
Wide Receivers:
- Johnathan Coleman - JR
- Dan Crimmins - FR
- Spiffy Evans - SO
- Colin Larmond Jr. - SR
What an embarrassing travesty for Colin Larmond Jr to end his four years on the Heights. Don't listen to ex-Globe reporters that suggest other receivers passed him on the depth chart, would he drop as many passes as the other receivers this year? Spaz wasn't happy with something about Larmond, and I don't care to speculate, and punished him the entire season by leaving him on the bench. Such a waste.
Tight End:
- Chris Pantale- SR
- C.J. Parsons- SO or Mike Giacone - FR
Offensive Line
Left Tackle:
- Emmett Cleary - SR
- Dan Lembke - R-FR
Left Guard:
- Andy Gallik - SO
- Paul Gaughan - R-FR
Right Guard:
- Seth Betancourt - SO
- Bryan Davis - JR
Right Tackle:
- John Wetzel - SR
- Aaron Kramer - SO
Ian White is out again, and the offensive line looked weak again against Notre Dame last weekend. Virginia Tech has struggled this year, but the defense has been pretty consistent from last year (only averaging 25 yards more a game). This o-line is going to have their hands full against the Hokies.
Fullback
- Jake Sinkovec - JR or Mike Naples - JR
Sinkovec is back from injury which is nice, but the full back position hasn't played much of a role for the past month.
Defensive Ends:
- Kasim Edebali - SR or
- Brian Mihalik - SO
I haven't bothered to look it up, but I'm guessing this must be the 7th or 8th combination at defensive end. None of which have played well.
Left Tackle
- Connor Wujciak - SO
- Max Ricci - JR
Right Tackle
- Bryan Murray - SR
- Jaryd Rudolph- JR
Bryan Murray gets the nod on Senior Day, which he deserves. This defensive line is going to get tested against Logan Thomas who will probably scramble all game.
SLB:
- Steele Divitto - JR
- Dominique Williams- SO
MLB:
- Sean Duggan- SO
- Nick Lifka - FR
WLB:
- Steven Daniels - FR
- Kevin Pierre-Louis - JR
Remember when linebacker was a position of strength? Well that has changed. Nick Clancy and Tim Joy are both out with concussions, and in their place and Nick Lifka and Dominique Williams. Wait, Dominique Williams? He was a cornerback for two seasons, and now he is playing linebacker? Great roster and scholarship management Spaz.
Field Corner:
- Manuel Asprilla - SO
- Bryce Jones - FR
Back Corner:
- Sean Sylvia - SO
- Ameer Richardson - FR
Same as the previous four weeks.
Strong Safety:
- Spencer Rositano - SO
- Jim Noel - SR
Free Safety:
- Justin Simmons - FR
- Josh Keyes- SO
Jim Noel is a senior captain, and it's his final game at Alumni Stadium. So what does Spaz do? He doesn't start him. Classy move chief. I get that Rositano is having a better season, and is red hot, but do I need to remind everyone that this team is 2-8. LET THE SENIORS PLAY.
Punt Returner:
- Spiffy Evans - FR
- Bryce Jones - FR
Kick Returner:
Kicker:
- Nate Freese - JR
- Alex Howell - R-FR
Punter:
- Gerald Levano - SR
- Alex Howell - R-FR
Snapper
- Sean Flaherty - SR
- Dave Shinskie - SR
Holder
- Gerald Levano - SR
- Josh Bordner - SO
