Boston College Football: National Statistics Through Five Games

Checking in on select Boston College player and team statistics through the first six weeks of the season.

Alex Amidon

Amidon ranks 6th nationally in receiving yards per game, averaging 128.8 yards per game. Only Baylor's Terrance Williams, West Virginia's Stedman Bailey and Tavon Austin, USC's Marqise Lee and Clemson's DeAndre Hopkins are averaging more yards per game. Amidon also ranks tied for 10th in receptions per game (7.60) and 37th in All-Purpose runners.

Chase Rettig

Rettig ranks 27th in total offense, averaging 292.2 yards per game.

Nick Clancy

Clancy continues to lead the nation in tackles, have racked up 39 solo and 29 assists through the first five games of the season. His 13.6 tackles per game average is 0.1 better than Baylor's Bryce Hager. There are a number of other Eagles on the national tackles list. Kevin Pierre-Louis currently ranks 9th with 11.0 per game, Divitto 16th with 10.4 per game and Sean Sylvia tied for 25th with 9.6 per game. Also of note, former Boston College defensive backs Dominick LeGrande and Okechukwu Okoroha, now with Marshall, rank 6th and 21st, respectively.

Freese ranks tied for 9th in the country for field goals (1.8 per game) and 47th in scoring (8.6 per game).
