There has been radio silence coming from both the Herald and the Globe on the Boston College Athletic Director search. That is, until today, where John Connolly penned a few words on the reported candidates for the position. According to the Herald, the search committee is down to four candidates.
-- Xavier associate vice president and athletics director Mike Bobinski
-- Miami University athletic director Brad Bates
-- Virginia Commonwealth AD Ed McLaughlin
-- Wisconsin deputy AD Sean Frazier
After this article was printed in the Herald, Wisconsin's Sean Frazier took to Twitter to clear the record as to whether he was considering the BC job.
Understanding how important it is to me to have a commitment to both academics & athletics, supports my decision to stay at Wisconsin!

A fifth candidate comes from Mark Blaudschun, who is sticking to his claim that Army AD Boo Corrigan is still in the mix to replace Gene DeFilippo. Blaudschun claims that had Corrigan been installed as the next Boston College AD before tomorrow's game in West Point, it would have been all kinds of awkward.
