Boston College Football Depth Chart For Wake Forest Game

Who is on the two deep for this weekend's matchup against the Demon Deacons?

Bob DeChiara-US PRESSWIRE

The Eagles look to win back to back games for the first time this season. Let's take a look at the Eagles' starters for Saturday's matchup with the Demon Deacons.

Quarterback:

  1. Chase Rettig - JR
  2. Josh Bordner - SO

Chase Rettig fresh off a fantastic last drive against Maryland will look to continue his success against Wake Forest's secondary.

Halfback:

  1. Andre Williams - JR
  2. David Dudeck - FR

Andre Williams was a complete non factor last weekend against the Terps. Dudeck scored his first touchdown of his young career. Word on the street is that Rolandan Finch has been relegated to the practice squad. Hope he gets a second chance next year and doesn't decide to transfer, it would be a shame.

Wide Receivers:

  1. Alex Amidon - JR
  2. Donte Elliott - SR
  1. Johnathan Coleman - JR
  2. Dan Crimmins - FR
  1. Spiffy Evans - SO OR Bobby Swigert - JR

Exactly the same as last week. Coleman and Amidon have been the most consistent performers so far this season, wonder when Swigert will have his breakout game.

Tight End:

  1. Chris Pantale- SR
  2. C.J. Parsons- SO or Mike Giacone - FR

Pantale had a nice game last weekend, and is miles above the other guys on the depth chart in both blocking and pass catching ability. Giacone, a prize recruit from last year, had been sidelined for the early part of the season with concussion symptoms. Will be interesting to see if he sees the field Saturday.

Offensive Line

Left Tackle:

  1. Emmett Cleary - SR
  2. Dan Lembke - R-FR

Left Guard:

  1. Bobby Vardaro - SO
  2. Harris Williams - SO
Center:
  1. Andy Gallik - SO
  2. Paul Gaughan - R-FR

Right Guard:

  1. Ian White - JR
  2. Seth Betancourt - SO

Right Tackle:

  1. John Wetzel - SR
  2. Aaron Kramer - SO

No changes on the offensive line this week. Looks like Spaz and Jim Bollman are happy with the line as is, even with Rettig getting knocked on his butt repeatedly and the run game going nowhere. C'est la vie.

Fullback

  1. Mike Naples - JR
  2. Jarrett Darmstatter - SO OR Brian Miller - FR

Three players are listed, probably won't be much of a factor in the game. Hate seeing Miller buried on the depth chart, always thought he would be more of a weapon.

Defensive Ends:

  1. Kasim Edebali - SR
  2. Malachi Moore - FR
  1. Kieran Borcich - FR
  2. Brian Mihalik- SO or Mehdi Abdesmad - SO

Someone, anyone, has to get pressure on Tanner Price. They can not make him look like Andrew Luck again. Abdesmad is back in the rotation after missing time due to injury.

Left Tackle

  1. Connor Wujciak - SO
  2. Max Ricci - JR

Right Tackle

  1. Bryan Murray - SR
  2. Dominic Appiah- SO

No Kaleb Ramsey, no Dillon Quinn, no Jaryd Rudolph. BC is starting Bryan Murray.

SLB:

  1. Steele Divitto - JR
  2. Tim Joy - FR

MLB:

  1. Nick Clancy - SR
  2. Sean Duggan- SO

WLB:

  1. Kevin Pierre-Louis - JR
  2. Steven Daniels - FR

No changes this weekend.

Field Corner:

  1. Manuel Asprilla - SO
  2. Bryce Jones - FR

Back Corner:

  1. Sean Sylvia - SO
  2. Ameer Richardson - FR

Same as the previous two weeks.

Strong Safety:

  1. Jim Noel - SR
  2. Spenser Rositano - SO

Free Safety:

  1. Justin Simmons - FR
  2. C.J. Jones - SO

Simmons gets the nod this week over Jones. After getting torched through the air by a triple option defense, it will be interesting to see how this unit holds up against Maryland's third string QB.

Punt Returner:

  1. Spiffy Evans - FR
  2. Bobby Swigert - JR

Kick Returner:

  1. Spiffy Evans - SO
  2. Bryce Jones- FR

Kicker:

  1. Nate Freese - JR
  2. Alex Howell - R-FR

Punter:

  1. Gerald Levano - SR
  2. Alex Howell - R-FR

Snapper

  1. Sean Flaherty - SR
  2. Dave Shinskie - SR

Holder

  1. Gerald Levano - SR
  2. Josh Bordner - SO
