Vatrano announced today via twitter that he has committed to play hockey for UMass, likely next season.
Committed to play my college hockey at Umass Amherst

It's crystal clear that he made the right decision to keep his collegiate eligibility by playing in the EJHL this year. UMass has landed quite the recruit, as Vatrano was supposed to be one of the stars of this years' Eagle recruiting class before leaving the program for academic reasons.
Details are still foggy as to why he left, but regardless, it must have been pretty rough for him to get to campus and move in only to have to leave a short time later. All the best to him on his fresh start with the Minutemen.
