DAP For Boston College Field Hockey

We don't focus nearly as much attention on this site to some of our better Olympic sports programs. One of those teams is the Boston College field hockey team.

The Eagles currently have a record of 7-3 (1-1 ACC) and are ranked 6th in the country. The 7-3 Eagles are coming off a 2-1 loss to American down in Washington D.C, but went 2-1 in their recent three game road trip with wins over UConn and Virginia.

On the year, the field hockey team has notched victories over Vermont (5-1), UMass (5-0), Quinnipiac (6-1), Holy Cross (6-0), Boston University (1-0), Connecticut (3-1) and Virginia (5-4 2 OT).

The Eagles return home to host the 5-4 (1-1 ACC) Duke Blue Devils on Friday, September 30, 4 PM at the Newton Campus Turf Field. At halftime of the game against Duke, the team will conduct a moment of silence and feature a public service announcement for the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN). Each September, the organization sponsors RAINN DAY, a national campaign to bring sexual violence awareness to college campuses.

If you have the time, definitely try to make it over to Newton Campus this Friday afternoon to cheer on the nationally ranked Eagles and support a worthwhile cause. Go Eagles!
