Um, OK, so this year the Blogpoll is under new management and we must have failed to read the fine print that stated that ballots are due on Monday morning at 8 am. Our bad. So, anyway, here's how our ballot for the week would have looked had we been more timely with submitting it.
And to make it up to you, we give you even more information this week. Think of this as a bit of a behind the scenes look at how Jeff and I compile our ballot.
We have a new number 1 this week in Alabama. It wasn't unanimous, but our two ballots at the top diverged quite a bit this week so Alabama edges LSU for this week's top spot with an impressive 27-11 win over Penn State. There was a bit of a shuffle in the top 5, but LSU, Oklahoma, Wisconsin and Boise State hold onto our ballot's top five spots.
The only team with a loss that makes our ballot this week is 1-1 Oregon for the Ducks' 69-20 drubbing of Nevada. Can't fault UO too much for losing to a top 5 team in week 1.
Teams encouraging the most disagreement between ballots include West Virginia (7.78), Auburn, Ohio State and Florida (7.07). Jeff and I both agreed on the placement of Alabama, Boise State and Arkansas.
