The only sure pro football game in town starts camp today. That's right, the UFL is back for its third season. This season, the UFL expands to Virginia Beach with the addition of the Virginia Destroyers, the fledgling league's fifth franchise.

We figured that since the UFL is the only game in town, we'd take a look at who exactly Superfans should be rooting for this coming season.

There are just two former Boston College players on an active UFL roster. OG Josh Beekman plays for the expansion Virginia Destroyers, while DE Alex Albright was signed by the Omaha Nighthawks. But the Nighthawks just gave Jags das boot, so give the edge here to the Destroyers?

However, Beekman and Albright aren't the only BC ties to the UFL. The two-time defending champ Las Vegas Locomotives are run by President / GM / Head Coach Jim Fassel. Jim's son, former BC place kicker Mike Fassel, serves as the Locos' Director of Football Administration (as an aside, how do the Fassel's run a football team with no BC ties on the roster?)

So if you live in New England and have a weekend to kill this fall, you can catch Beekman, Albright or the Fassels when they travel to East Hartford to play the Colonials in what is sure to be the most exciting football played at the Rent this year.

Saturday, September 10 (Week 5): Las Vegas at Hartford
Friday, September 23 (Week 7): Omaha at Hartford
Saturday, October 8 (Week 9): Virginia at Hartford

Go Destroyers / Nighthawks / Locos!
