The recruits just keep coming to the Heights. Yesterday, Boston College snared three star RB Akeel Lynch from St. Francis in New York. Lynch -- who recently moved to the US from Canada -- is a 6-1, 205 pound running back who is a mix of speed (4.4 40 yard dash) and power. Lynch cites a similar style of offense and the coaches (!!!!) for choosing BC:
"The offense fits my style, it's the zone offense that we run here. Also, their ability to move me around [on offense], which I really like. I think what really made the difference were the coaches. They made me feel like I was part of the family. I think that's key in anywhere you go, because after football you got to have people to help you succeed in life."
Lynch missed a portion of last year after having surgery on his finger. Yet he still made the All Western New York team with 828 yards rushing and 10 touchdowns. The article cites that Lynch had other offers from Penn State, Duke, Cincinnati, Buffalo, UConn and Akron. The 2010 BC recruiting class has hit upon the major areas you would expect BC to heavily recruit: three from New Jersey, two from Massachusetts, with one from Ohio, Pennsylvania and now New York.
