2011 Bowl Gift Guide: The Bowl Loot BC Missed Out On

The Sports Business Journal recently compiled a list of bowl game loot each of the players will receive for participating in one of the 35 bowl games played this college football postseason. You know, had Nate Freese made that field goal against Duke and had BC not committed that false start penalty at the end of the Northwestern game, the Eagles could have been 6-6 and headed back to a bowl game for the 13th consecutive season. /Spazzed

With a record of 6-6, the Eagles most likely destinations would have been the Shreveport, Louisiana Independence Bowl (the day after Christmas) or the Military Bowl in Washington D.C.

As such, here's the loot BC missed out on in 2011:

Independence Bowl: Gift suite, Timely Watch Co. watch, New Era cap, commemorative football

Military Bowl: Amazon Kindle Fire, Apple iPod nano, Deuce watch, LunaTik wristband (to hold iPod), beanie, Nike backpack

I'm sure the team is really torn up about missing out on that Military Bowl beanie.

In other news, no word on whether BC gets a cut of 6-6 Northwestern's bowl loot -- which included a Toshiba 32-inch flat-screen television! -- or 6-6 Wake Forest's haul ... just a gift suite and a Reactor watch (no big).
