On Saturday, BC's All-American linebacker Luke Kuechly finished with 14 tackles, setting a new ACC record for career tackles with 523 tackles in 33 games. Kuechly is also one tackle shy of matching the school's all-time career tackle total set by Stephen Boyd (1991-94).

But Kuechly cannot be bothered with records if those records don't come with a win.

"I play football to win. I don't try to set any records. If we would have won, it would have been cool. But we lost. We play to win at B.C. The record is cool, I guess, but we didn't win."

Kuechly's 14 tackle day marks the 33rd consecutive game where #40 has recorded double-digit tackles. With one game to play, Kuechly needs just 12 tackles to break the NCAA's single-season tackle record set by Texas Tech's Lawrence Flugence. Flugence set the current record over 14 games during the 2002 season.
