BC Baseball Headed Back To ACC Baseball Championship

With the Eagles' 6-3 win over #6 Georgia Tech today, Boston College is headed back to the ACC Baseball Championship for the second straight season. Sophomore Taylor Lasko pitched 5.1, allowing three runs on five hits. Mike Dennhart came on in relief, pitching 2.2 innings of no-hit ball while Matt Brazis picked up the save with a perfect ninth inning.

With a conference record of 23-7, Virginia nabs the top spot in this year's Baseball Championship.

Clemson swept Florida State to come back from 3 games back in the final regular season series to win the Atlantic Division. The Tigers (18-12) will be the No. 2 seed and will be placed in Division B.

Here are the divisions for the 2010 ACC Baseball Championship:

Division A:
No. 1 Virginia (23-7)
No. 4 Miami (20-10)
No. 5 Florida State (18-12)
No. 8 Boston College (14-16)

Division B:
No. 2 Clemson (18-12)
No. 3 Georgia Tech (21-9)
No. 6 Virginia Tech (16-13)
No. 7 N.C. State (15-15)

Championship game dates and times will be released on tomorrow night at 5 PM ET.  The Eagles failed to win a series against the programs in Division A during the regular season, getting swept by the Cavaliers and losing their series with Miami and Florida State 2 games to 1.
