Brief Head Coaching Search Update

Yesterday, DeFilippo met with Cornell coach Steve Donahue and Fairfield coach Ed Cooley in separate interviews. Both interviews reportedly went "extremely well." According to this writer, Fairfield losing Cooley to BC would be a huge blow to the program.

Donahue has been quoted as saying only a "flat-out home run" would take him away from Cornell. Here's another take on the candidacy of Donahue and Cooley.

The coaching search focus now shifts to Northeastern's coach Bill Coen and Richmond's Chris Mooney, both who will reportedly interview for the position today.

Harvard's Tommy Amaker is also in the mix and will supposedly interview for the position.

But what about BC former staffers Pat Duquette, Bonzie Colson and Mo Cassara? The Globe reports that DeFilippo is allowing the staff to go to the Final Four to look for jobs and the school will continue to pay them. This article mentions Duquette as a possible candidate for either the vacant Siena or Holy Cross jobs.

We'll continue our look at possible BC coaching candidates throughout the day today.
