Two Incoming Eagles Land in College Hockey 247 Top 50

The new rivals site College Hockey 247 recently released their list of top 50 recruits for the class of 2010. The list features two of Jerry York's 3 commits from this year's recruiting class. Incoming forward Bill Arnold (Needham, Mass.) was listed as the #17 recruit in the class of 2010, while goaltender Brian Billett (Brunswick, Maine) checked in at #41.

Arnold, a 5-foot-11-inch center from Needham, Mass is currently playing for the U.S. NTDP Under-18 team. He has 12 goals and 21 assists through 47 games for the U.S. National Team. In 2008-2009, Arnold played for Noble and Greenough School - the same school that Muse went to - where he tallied 28 goals and 27 assists on the year.

Billett is a 6'1" goaltender from Brunswick, Maine, who has spent the last two years playing for the EJHL's New Hampshire Monarchs. In 2008-2009, Billett went 22-2-0 with a 2.12 GAA and a .925 save percentage. This season, Billett leads the league in goals against average (1.91) and save percentage (.941), posting a record of 17-2-3. He is one of only 3 goaltenders to make College Hockey 247's top 50.

Bill Arnold and Brian Billett will be joined by defenseman Isaac McLeod, rounding out next year's recruiting class. A Nelson, British Columbia native, MacLeod plays for his hometown Nelson Maple Leafs of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey league.

The Eagles will lose four players to graduation at the end of this season - defenseman Carl Sneep (property of the Pittsburgh Penguins) and forwards Ben Smith, Matt Price and Matt Lombardi.

In Hockey East, only Boston University topped the Eagles with 4 commits listed in the College Hockey 247 top 50. Vermont, New Hampshire, UMass-Lowell and Massachusetts each had one recruit make the list. A small, second-rate university in Indiana that will go unnamed topped the list with 7 recruits in the top 50.
