ACC Reset: Boston College Is The ACC's Biggest Surprise

Not only has BC's fast 10-2 start to the season been great for fans, it also has the unintended effect of proving some preseason naysayers wrong. Count The Dagger's Jeff Eisenberg among those who counted the Eagles out in the preseason, projecting them to finish 12 of 12 in the ACC this year.

Eisenberg likes what he's seen from the Eagles under first year coach Steve Donahue so far, calling BC the pleasant surprise of the season:

"Either Miami or Virginia could make an argument, but a 10-2 start makes Boston College the most worthy. In ex-Cornell coach Steve Donahue's first season in Chestnut Hill, the Eagles have won nine of 10 since an early loss to Yale, defeating Texas A&M and Cal on a neutral court, winning at home against Providence and slipping past Maryland on the road."

In his updated ACC projections, Eisenberg has moved BC from last in the preseason all the way to fourth now, behind only Duke, North Carolina and Florida State. College hoops guru Ken Pomeroy seems to agree. He's currently projecting the Eagles to finish fifth in the conference at 9-7, behind 15-1 Duke, 10-6 North Carolina, 10-6 Florida State and 10-6 Maryland.

After watching the Eagles through one-third of the regular season, have you turned into a BC basketball believer? Where do you think BC finishes the regular season in the ACC?
