Well, this was fairly anti-climactic.
The Under Armour Cup-leading Auburn Tigers took care of the hapless Chattanooga Mocs to push their lead to 1.5 games with just two games left -- Georgia and at Alabama. In the process, an additional five teams were eliminated from this year's UA Cup with the Auburn win, including Hawaii, South Carolina, Maryland, Toledo and South Florida (despite beating Rutgers 28-27 last Wednesday night).
Only three teams are left standing in this year's UA Cup -- Auburn, Utah and Temple. The Tigers are 10-0, while the Utes are a game and a half back at 8-1. The Owls currently sit in third place, two games back at 8-2. Auburn can capture at least a share of the Cup with a win over Georgia this weekend, a likely scenario considering the Tigers are already 8 1/2 point favorites over UGA.
Auburn is actually the only UA outfitted team to play at home this weekend, with 8 other teams all in action on the road.
