It was utterly painful to watch at times, but a win is a win, I guess. There's still plenty of room for improvement, especially on offense, and Grobe once again got the best of Spaz with a trick play on offense (I think Wake has scored a touchdown like that in every game between the Eagles and Deacons in the ACC).
With the win, the Eagles keep their slim bowl hopes alive, needing to win just two of their final three to become bowl-eligible.
Up next is a road game in Durham against Duke, who is coming off a 55-48 win over Virginia. Like BC, Duke is riding a two-game winning streak. For Duke, that's an accomplishment considering they've had just 1 three-game winning streak in the last 15 seasons -- 2009. Don't let the name fool you though. Duke will be a much tougher out than Wake Forest.
