Luke Kuechly Tackle Tracker: End Of Regular Season Edition

Turns out Luke Kuechly is human after all. Just kidding.

After the BC offense stayed on the field for over 38 minutes on Saturday, Kuechly managed just 10 tackles against Syracuse. Even with his 10 tackle performance, that figure marks the 21st consecutive game Kuechly has recorded a double-digit tackle total.

With 171 tackles on the season, Kuechly breaks the single season school record set by Tom McManus in 1991. Luke has averaged 14.25 tackles through 12 games.

Kuechly will now set his sights on breaking the NCAA record for tackles in a season -- 193 -- set by Texas Tech's Lawrence Flugence in 2002. Kuechly would need 22 tackles to tie the record that was set by Flugence in 14 games -- one more game than Kuechly will be afforded this season.

Sounds crazy, but consider that Kuechly has gone over the 20 tackle mark twice this season (20 at N.C. State, 21 at Duke) and recorded 16 tackles in last year's bowl game against USC.
