Last Time Out: The Eagles split their weekend series with Merrimack to move to 4-2-0 on the season. BC drops 2 spots in the national polls -- to #4 -- behind Miami, Minnesota-Duluth and that little school down the road.

Series: Boston College holds a 54-33-7 edge in the all-time series.

Last Meeting at Conte Forum: Boston College 2, UMass Lowell 1 (February 13, 2009)

Trends: BC went just 1-2-0 last year against UMass Lowell, getting outscored 8-4. The Eagles haven't lost two games since January 23, 2009, a span of 26 games that dates back to a 3-1 loss to the River Hawks.

UMass Lowell's Leading Scorers: Fr. Chad Ruhwedel (1-5-6), So. Riley Wetmore (2-3-5), Fr. Josh Holmstrom (0-4-4)
UMass Lowell's Leading Goaltender: Fr. Doug Carr (1-2-1, 3.20 GAA, .902 SV%)

BC looks to get back in the win column in their third game in five nights as they host the 1-4-2 UMass Lowell River Hawks. Lowell hasn't exactly gotten off to a fast start in 2010, with their lone win coming at home against Providence in overtime. Lowell has already lost 4 Hockey East games, including an 8-2 season opening loss to Maine and two losses to BU by a combined score of 7-2.

Seems like the perfect spot for the Eagles to have a big night and get a much needed win.

Prediction: Boston College 6, UMass Lowell 1
Record-to-date: 3-3-0

Go Eagles!
