Here is our preliminary ballot for week 10. Big movers this week include Missouri (down 12), Florida State (down 11) and Michigan State (down 9). Similarly, Miami, USC and Michigan are ejected from the ballot entirely for losses in week 9.
We've gotten to the point in the season where we start seeing some wacky things on the ballot that don't really jive with that whole head-to-head thing. Among those:
- Oklahoma (no. 9) over Missouri (no. 18)
- Ohio State (no. 7) over Wisconsin (no. 15)
- Iowa (no. 13) over Wisconsin (no. 15) -- not sure what to do with the Iowa, Michigan State, Wisconsin Big Ten love triangle. Suggestions welcome.
Teams encouraging the most disagreement between our two ballots include Florida State (3.54), South Carolina (2.83) and Nevada (2.83). Lots of agreement this week (that's no fun) as Jeff and I agree on 11 of the 25 spots this week, including 1-3 (Oregon, Auburn, TCU).
By conference: 6 SEC, 5 Big 12, 4 Big Ten, 3 ACC, 3 Pac 10, 2 Mountain West, 2 WAC, 0 Big East.
