 Bostoncollege_medium vs. Vermont_medium

#6 Boston College Eagles (5-3-0, 3-2-0 Hockey East) at Vermont Catamounts (0-3-3, 0-2-2 Hockey East)

Time: 7:00 EDT
Date: Friday and Saturday, November 12-13, 2010
Place: Gutterson Fieldhouse (cap. 4,003), Burlington, Vt.
TV: Nope
Internet Radio: BCEagles.com (Jon Rish play-by-play and Ken Hodge color)
Internet Video: Video stream available on a pay-per-view basis through BCEagles.com

Last Time Out: The Eagles lost to New Hampshire 2-1 at Kelley Rink to fall to 5-3-0 (3-2-0 Hockey East) on the year.

Series: Through 39 games, the Eagles hold a 24-11-4 (.667 winning percentage) edge in the all-time series.

Last Meeting: Boston College 3, Vermont 0 -- Hockey East Semifinals (March 19, 2010)
Last Meeting at Gutterson Fieldhouse: Vermont 4, Boston College 1 (October 18, 2009)

Trends: BC went 2-2 against Vermont last season, and UVM was one of only two teams to have defeated the Eagles twice last season. John Muse can earn sole possession of second place on the Eagles' goaltenders all-time career victory list with a 67th career victory. He's currently tied for second with Kaltiainen and Cory Schneider.

Vermont's Leading Scorers: Sr. Wahsontiio Stacey (5-1-6), Sr. Jack Downing (2-1-3), Fr. Connor Brickley (1-2-3)
Vermont's Leading Goaltender: Jr. Rob Madore (0-3-3, 2.57 GAA, .914 SV%)

After having the week off, the Eagles return to action this weekend in Burlington as they take on the 0-3-3 Vermont Catamounts. Gutterson Fieldhouse has been a bit of a house of horrors for York and the Eagles the past few years. BC is winless in their last 6 trips to Burlington (0-4-2).

Even though the Eagles haven't had much success up at UVM in recent years, Vermont hasn't had much success there this season, either. I think the offensively challenged Catamounts will have their hands full with both Muse and Parker Milner in net this weekend. I think BC gets back in the W column and picks up a much-needed four points in the Hockey East race.

Predictions: BC 4-1 (Friday), BC 3-0 (Saturday)
Record-to-date: 4-4-0

Go Eagles!
