Here's the Eagles updated depth chart for the N.C. State game. Only a few changes this week.
Of course, all eyes are again on the quarterback spot. There's no change on the depth chart, with Marscovetra or Rettig listed as the starting quarterback for this weekend. The Herald is reporting that Marscovetra and Shinskie got snaps with the first team offense today in practice, while Rettig sat out of practice with his foot in a protective boot:
Mike Marscovetra and Dave Shinskie both got some snaps with the first team offensive line in the brief portion of the Boston College football practice that was open to the media this afternoon. The two sophomores could be competing for the No. 1 job this week for Saturday’s game against North Carolina State, or they could be competing for the No. 2 job. That depends upon the health of true freshman quarterback Chase Rettig, who suffered a left ankle sprain in BC’s 31-13 loss to Notre Dame last Saturday.
There are just two changes this week on offense. Gallik replaces Spinney at the backup center position, and Betancourt replaces Cleary at backup RT. You probably won't see either play. I am a bit surprised that Spinney is still getting the start over Claiborne at RG.
On defense, there are just two changes, both at the backup defensive tackle positions. Dillon Quinn replaces Murray at the backup LT spot and Conor O'Neal replaces Jaryd Rudolph at backup RT.
