Team Statistical Comparison: Warrior Rink Rat's Tale Of The Tape

The Eagles will raise their program's fourth National Championship banner tonight at Conte Forum (6:30 EDT) and host the 1-0-2 Merrimack Warriors. Faceoff is at 7 PM. BC then heads back on the road for the second part of this weekend's home-and-home with Merrimack, Saturday night at Lawler Arena.

Merrimack's Stephane Da Costa is the player to watch, but I don't think MC has enough firepower to take down the defending Champs on banner night. The Warriors were Jekyll and Hyde last year in Hockey East play (9-3-1 at home, 3-10-1 on the road) and I wouldn't be surprised if MC pulls off the upset tomorrow night. But I can't go against the Eagles. BC wins 5-4 in a shootout.

Weekend Predictions (record-to-date 2-2-0):

Boston College 4, Merrimack 1
Boston College 5, Merrimack 4

Go Eagles!
