ACC Power Rankings: Week 10

We've been plugging Georgia Tech all season and this week they make it back to the top of our ACC power rankings with their 31-28 win over Florida State. Jeff's thoughts on this week's power rankings:

1. Georgia Tech
2. 10 teams tied
12. North Carolina State

Yep, that pretty much sums up the ACC this week ...

Week 10
  1. Georgia Tech (7-2, 4-2)
  2. Florida State (6-2, 3-2)
  3. North Carolina (6-2, 2-2)
  4. Maryland (6-2, 3-1)
  5. Miami (6-3, 3-2)
  6. Clemson (4-4, 2-3)
  7. Virginia (5-4, 3-2)
  8. Boston College (5-3, 2-3)
  9. Virginia Tech (5-3, 2-2)
  10. Wake Forest (5-3, 3-2)
  11. Duke (4-4, 1-3)
  12. North Carolina State (2-6, 0-4)

Notes

Georgia Tech is again #1 this week, although they just got dealt a serious blow to their starting offensive line. In order to win the Coastal, the Jackets will have to take care of North Carolina this week in Chapel Hill and Miami at home on a Thursday night later this month. They'll also need Virginia and Virginia Tech to drop another ACC game.

On the rise: Georgia Tech, Maryland (by not even playing), Miami, Clemson

Jeff's convinced that Clemson might go on a little run here to close out the season. I haven't quite decided if that's the Tiger in him coming through or if he's really onto something here.

Cooling off: Boston College, Virginia, Wake Forest (we remain unconvinced after their 33-30 pillow fight victory over Duke in OT)

This Week

Maryland at Virginia Tech (Thursday) ... Georgia Tech at North Carolina (Coastal eliminator!) ... Bowden Bowl less a Bowden in Tallahassee ... Virginia at Wake Forest ... NC State at Duke ... Notre Dame at Boston College

OFF: Miami
