Boston College sailing team will open the 2011 fall season with as the No. 1 team in the country. Sailing World released the 2011 Fall Preseason rankings and the Eagles are No. 1 and received six first place votes. Georgetown is second, while Roger Williams, Charleston and Yale round out the top five teams.

The Boston College coed sailing team is in first place with 104 points after 18 races in the Gill/ICSA Dinghy National Championships on the Columbia River Gorge in Cascade Locks, Ore.
