Boston College freshman guard Olivier Hanlan has been named the ACC Co-Rookie of the Week. He shares this week's award with Florida State guard Aaron Thomas.

Sophomore Ryan Anderson scored 24 points and freshman Olivier Hanlan recorded 17 points and 12 rebounds as Boston College defeated Providence, 71-68, in front of 6,102 fans Saturday afternoon at Conte Forum.

Boston College will host Providence on Saturday at 2 p.m. inside Conte Forum in the final game before the Christmas holiday.

It was assumed for quite some time that Syracuse and Pittsburgh would find a way to extricate themselves from the Big East a year early in order to join the ACC in time for the 2013-14 season. Now we can forecast Boston College's future schedules.

Boston University forward Jake O'Brien, will reportedly visit Temple, Boston College and Providence this week. The 6-foot-9, 220-pounder has one year of eligibility remaining and is eligible to play right away as a graduate student.
