ACC Expansion Holds Key To Future Of Kansas-Missouri Border War?

It appears that Mark Blaudschun's fantasy Big East implosion scenario that sent Clemson to the SEC and Connecticut to the ACC as the Tigers' replacement made its way all the way down to Clemson, South Carolina on Friday. If Clemson has had conversations with the SEC recently, that is news to Clemson president James Baker, The Post and Courier reports.
Big East commissioner John Marinatto told Pete Thamel of the New York Times that the conference will hold Pitt and Syracuse to the 27-month period before either school can leave to join the ACC. That means, unless the schools can convince the conference to change its stance, the will not be able to begin participating in the ACC until June 2014.
According to an AP source, Big 12 officials expect Texas A&M to announce within the next week that it plans to leave the conference.
