Ultimately, I don't think Boston College will promote from within. But here are some names you may or may not hear tossed about as possible replacements for Gene DeFilippo.

There has been a strong outpouring of support and thanks for Boston College Athletic Director Gene DeFilippo, who will step down on September 30 after 15 years of serving as the school's A.D.
