Hockey East announced on Wednesday a one-game suspension for Boston College freshman forward Brendan Silk, because of an illegal head hit on Saturday, March 2nd in BC's 5-1 home loss to Providence. Silk will be eligible to return to the Eagles' lineup on for the regular season finale at Vermont on Saturday.
The Big East name will now belong to the Catholic 7, and the Big East schools not in the Big East Catholic 7 will have to be searching for a new name. This move could have Notre Dame joining the ACC a year early, or if the ACC isn't available they have been offered a spot potentially in the 7 Big Catholic East for a season. None of this make sense, but there you have. East Catholic 7 Biggies.
