BC doesn't get much love. Any chance we could turn 74 loose on their board?
Notre Dame just hitting it out of the park.
Was just thinking about stadiums that will be undergoing expansions...didn't honestly dawn on me when I found this link that the first stadium listed that needs a face lift would be Alumni! 6th smallest venue in the country, with some pretty poor (or historically poor) competition in UConn, Wazzu, Duke, Wake, Vanderbilt and Cincinnati around it. Let's go folks..55,000, close it in and make it a real college football stadium!
Maybe Swofford is not a genius, to some of the readers, but he is certainly a statesman.
I got the chance to interview Uncle Dave right before he (and I) graduate. Got to talking about how he responded to losing the starting job 2 years ago, his relationship with Chase Rettig and, after all that, his advice to his fellow students who find themselves facing adversity.

Northwestern Univ. has selected the team of 360 Architecture and Perkins + Will to design the $220M Lakeside Athletic Complex on campus in Evanston. The complex will include a multipurpose indoor practice facility with seating for 2,500, an outdoor practice field for varsity sports, club sports and intramurals, an expansion of the existing swimming facility and a 1,200-space parking garage. Renovations to field hockey, soccer and lacrosse facilities also are part of the project. The site sits on Lake Michigan. Nate Appleman, a principal with 360 Architecture leading the K.C.-based firm’s college sports practice, will be heading the project. The selection comes after Populous designed Northwestern’s athletics master plan, which includes the Lakeside complex. Appleman helped design a portion of the master plan while he was with Populous. He joined 360 Architecture in February '11.
About a week too late for my liking ...
Tonight's opening round East Regional game between Union and Boston College (9 PM, ESPNU/WatchESPN) will mark the first meeting between the two schools. But that doesn't mean players on both teams aren't already familiar with one another.
