Boston College Lacrosse Handed First Loss of 2022 by UNC

The Boston College women's lacrosse team dropped to 8-1 today after losing to UNC, ending BC's undefeated streak. UNC won by a score of 16-15, largely thanks to shutting out BC during the entire 2nd quarter. Charlotte North led BC in the loss with 4 goals, and Kayla Martello and Jenn Medjid also scored hat tricks for BC.

Boston College Softball Defeats #2 FSU

This afternoon, Boston College softball earned a big upset, defeating #2 FSU in a 2-0 shutout. The Eagles scored both of their runs in the 8th inning, and allowed FSU to get just a single hit during the entire game.

Boston College Women's Basketball Confirmed as First Team Out of NCAA Tournament

Boston College has been confirmed to be the first team out in this year's NCAA Tournament bracket. The Eagles, who have earned an automatic qualifier position in the WNIT, fell out of the last 4 teams in after losing to FSU in the ACC Tournament. This puts BC in position as the first standby team if any current tournament team is unable to accept a spot in the tournament/

Boston College Women’s Basketball Falls to FSU in ACC Tournament

The Boston College Eagles lost to FSU by a score of 63-58 today in the second round of the ACC Tournament. The Eagles spent much of the game down by double digits before a late comeback attempt pushed them to within 2, but it was too little too late for BC. The Eagles were one of the final 4 teams into the NCAA Tournament ahead of today, and FSU was one of the final four out, so the Eagles will now have to wait to see if they make the cut on selection day.

The Boston College women’s lacrosse team picked up another dominant win against a ranked team this afternoon, defeating #21 UMass by a score of 22-5. Charlotte North singlehandedly outscored UMass with 7 goals, and Jenn Medjid individually tied the Minutewomen with 5.

Boston College Women's Basketball Falls to Virginia Tech

The Boston College women's basketball team continues to struggle on the road as the Eagles fell to Virginia tech by a score of 85-62 this afternoon. The Eagles really lost this one on rebounds (they were out-rebounded 40-30) and on fouls (Virginia Tech went 31-for-33 from behind the free throw line). Taylor Soule fouled out of the game, and Cam Swartz, Maria Gakdeng, and Ally VanTimmeren each earned 4 person fouls.
