They were great. I've been at this for five years now, and that’s as thorough and as consistent an effort as I’ve seen from a team in five years. And then when you add the talent and the speed they have, it was like they were on steroids, and we just couldn’t match it. (BC) wanted to win every battle from the opening faceoff to the end. Their game plan was very visible: It started with winning battles, hunting pucks down with passion, and we couldn’t match it. They did it for 60 minutes. Our (defenders) were under assault for most of the game.

The New Top 25: Where ACC Teams Are MIA

"But take a closer look near the bottom, and you’ll see one conference in particular that’s nowhere to be found. That conference is the ACC, who placed just one team — Duke at No. 5 — in the top 25. The last time only one ACC team was in the Top 25 was during the 1977/78 season, which was 32 years ago in case you didn’t want to count."

"Boston College’s Sean Williams is yet another basketball player using the Chinese Basketball Association to revive his professional career. After bombing in the NBA with the Nets, Williams flew to the Far East and signed with China’s Fujian SBS XunXin. In his first game he scored 21 points, grabbed 16 rebounds and blocked four shots."

No Charges Being Filed in Colson-FSU Band Incident

"The State Attorney's Office decided not to pursue charges after an incident that occurred Sunday between a Florida State pep-band member and Boston College assistant coach Bonzie Colson. A student in the FSU pep band alleged that he was pushed by the BC coach as the student was leaving the court following a pregame performance. Maj. Jim Russell of the Florida State Police Department said a witness came forward saying that Colson did put his hands on the student, but it was not in an aggressive manner. The witness statement said that the area around the visiting team's bench was congested and that Colson guided the student around him to avoid running into other band members."

We have had some struggles this year and we have had a great number of injuries. We haven't played as well as we would like to play ... So it has been difficult, which shows what a charmed life I have lived because we haven't had very many years like this. It has been difficult for us. We have nine freshman and sophomores on our team so we do really believe that we have better days ahead.

Following a police report filed that a Boston College assistant coach pushed a member of the Florida State pep band before Sunday's basketball game, the BC sports information director Chris Cameron said, "Boston College athletics officials met with members of the coaching staff and other eyewitnesses Monday evening to hear their side of the story. The issue is being handled internally between the two institutions and the Atlantic Coast Conference." Major Jim Russell with the Florida State Police Department could not be reached late Tuesday for an update on the investigation.
