Per CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein, Jim Christian has signed a one year extension as head coach of the Boston College men's basketball team. Per the Athens Register, Christian originally signed a five year contract with the Eagles, meaning this year's extension will be through the 2019-2020 season.

College Soccer News released its preseason top 30 poll on Tuesday, and the Boston College Eagles placed eighth after advancing to the national quarterfinals round a season ago. After losing to Syracuse in the Round of Eight, the Eagles return nine starters, including Simon Enstrom and Zeiko Lewis.
The Eagles were the fourth-highest ranked ACC team behind fourth-ranked Clemson, fifth-ranked Wake Forest, and sixth-ranked North Carolina.

On Sunday, Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said he planned to keep and dress four tight ends on game day. That means former Boston College Eagle Chris Pantale finds himself in line to receive a roster spot. Pederson referred to Pantale as "versatile" with value at tight end, fullback, and special teams.
