Boston College had tweeted out earlier that there would be a press conference tomorrow at 1:30 PM, but did not elaborate on what the conference would be on. Buzz on the internet was that it would be the announcement of the school's new Director of Athletics.
If it is in fact Corrigan, he brings major fundraising experience to the position. He spearheaded major campaigns at Army that helped raise record numbers for Black Knights Athletics. If the source is incorrect, Xavier Associate Vice President and Athletic Director Mike Bobinski is believed to be the other candidate.
Corrigan has served as the U.S. Military Academy's Director of Athletics since February 2011. Prior to his stay at Army, Corrigan has worked in college athletics at Duke, Notre Dame, Navy and Florida State. He is a 1990 graduate of Notre Dame.
