In the final hours before the press conference at 1:30 PM, we've heard a number of names rumored to be the next Athletic Director at Boston College. With just over 30 minutes to go, Boston College's student newspaper The Heights is reporting that Miami University's Brad Bates will be named the new Athletic Director this afternoon.
BREAKING: #BC source confirms that Brad Bates has been hired as Boston College's new AD, will be introduced at 1:30 press conference.

Bates has been the Athletic Director at Miami (Ohio) University since 2002 and is expected to be introduced this afternoon. With the press conference so soon, I am much more inclined to believe this report than all of the previous ones.
