Name: Sean Burke
Weight: 229 lbs.
Hometown: Lansdale, PA
2013 Stats: Did not appear in any games
2014 Projections: Even with BC's turnover at linebacker, I would expect Burke to be low on the totem pole in terms of playing time. He has decent size, so maybe we could see him on special teams, but most likely someone who will be on the team for the practice squad
How'd He Get Here: Though his BCEagles.com biography doesn't say it, it sounds like he was a walk on.
Uniform History: The first known player to wear the number was Ed Stewart, a back from Bridgewater, MA in the late 1920's. Linebacker Darius Bagan wore #39 as a backup linebacker in 2009. Running back Mike Javorski wore the number in 2012, though he didn't see any playing time under Spaz.
Sean's High School Coach on his play:
"Sean is just a real tough kid, and he works at it so hard," said Explorers head coach Drew Gordon. "That’s not just practice, or on the field. That’s in the weight room, in the film room and everything that we do."
