The 2013 Advocare V100 Bowl will be played on Tuesday, December 31 at 12:30 p.m. Eastern. The game will be televised by ESPN. You can find tickets here.
The matchup pairs the nation's top two running backs in Andre Williams and Arizona's Ka'Deem Carey. Like Williams, Carey is a Doak Walker Award finalist having rushed 322 times for 1,716 yards over 11 games (156 yards / game). Both running backs will meet on Wednesday in Orlando for the announcement of this year's Doak Walker Award winner.
The Advocare V100 Bowl, formerly known as the Independence Bowl, was first played in 1976 and is the 11th oldest bowl game in the nation. Though Boston College has never met Arizona on the gridiron, the program is quite familiar with the Wildcats head coach. BC is 2-2 all-time vs. Rich Rodriguez during RichRod's stint as the head coach of West Virginia. The Eagles are 4-7 all-time vs. current members of the Pac-12; the last win a 34-27 home victory over Stanford in 2002.
