Dennis Clifford Named Captain of BC Basketball Team

Jeremy Brevard-US PRESSWIRE

The Eagles may be young, but they have selected their captain for the upcoming season. According to Heights Sports on Twitter, Dennis Clifford has been named the captain of the 2012-2013 Men's Basketball Team.

The 7'0 Clifford averaged 8.9 points per game, and 4.7 rebounds last season. After the transfers of Gabe Moton and Matt Humphrey the Eagles enter the season with only two upperclassmen in junior Danny Rubin, and senior transfer Andrew Van Nest.

In other basketball news, BC has still practiced even through Hurricane Sandy. According to Heights Sports, players thought they wouldn't have practice because the school was closed, but were woken up by a wake up call at 7:30 am. Would have loved to heard what the coaches said after that.

The Eagles open in two weeks against FIU on November 11th.
